Consultation
On your first visit you will have a consultation with Dr. Michael Heatwole to discuss your health-related problems and concerns. During this time the doctor will discuss your condition with you, and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care can help. After your consultation, Dr. Heatwole will perform a physical exam including basic orthopedic, neurological, and muscle testing. Your condition may require us to take x-rays. X-rays can sometimes help in obtaining a more definitive diagnosis and aid in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration. If further imaging is needed such as an MRI or a CT scan you will be referred to another facility/hospital for that procedure.
Relief Treatment
Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of the appointment. This may include chiropractic adjustments, physiotherapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. All treatments will be explained to you before they are given so all questions can be answered completely. You will only receive treatment that you are comfortable with and consent to.
Insurance/Payment Options
Our office accepts most major health insurance plans that provide coverage for chiropractic care. We also accept automobile and workers' compensation insurance plans; if you have been injured in an accident, you probably would not have any out-of-pocket expenses. If you are unsure of your insurance benefits or have any questions, you can call our office and we will help you verify your insurance coverage before treatment begins.
No Insurance
For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, we can arrange flexible payment arrangements so you can receive the care you need. Most patients find that chiropractic care is extremely cost-effective when compared with other forms of healthcare.
